Its shape is cylindrical, with a rough and very thin skin, covered in small hairs. The great appeal to this fruit is its exotic flavor, slightly acidic and the intense green color of its pulp.

The kiwifruit is more than 700 years old, but it arrived in Chile in 1980. It has adapted well to local climatic conditions, which is why the country is now among the leading producers of this fruit.

The main destination for Chilean kiwi exports is Europe. The Chilean kiwi is available from March to November.

Benefits

It is full of antioxidants and vitamin C, it even provides almost twice as much vitamin as oranges and lemons, it can avoid nervousness and anxiety.

It is used to lose weight and eliminate fluid retention.

By containing vitamin E and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, kiwi thinns the blood, improving the general condition of the arteries.

The minerals present in kiwis are copper, magnesium and potassium.

The lutein it contains (also present in chard, broccoli and spinach) acts as a natural protective filter for your skin.

Its potassium level makes kiwi an ideal fruit for athletes, because like others, such as bananas, it favors both muscle recovery after a workout or effort, as well as the proper functioning of the muscles.
